Because we have always loved life, we exist to facilitate access to high-quality, specialty health services for less privileged people.

We focus our efforts on low-income children and adolescents who suffer from complex pathologies.

Every month, through our different health programs, we attend around 100 patients from different corners of Ecuador. In addition, we perform between 15 and 20 high and medium complexity surgeries thanks to the invaluable support of Hospital Metropolitano and its volunteer medical team.

High Complex and Specialty Surgeries

Our program seeks to save or considerably improve the life quality of hundreds of children and adolescents who suffer from a high-risk or complex pathology and require a highly specialized surgery.
The avant-garde infrastructure, added to the enormous experience of our doctors at Hospital Metropolitano, make each of these surgeries possible.

Prevention of Childhood Blindness

We attend low-income children and adolescents with ophthalmological pathologies of varying degrees of complexity, from refractive problems (children who need glasses) to complex surgeries such as congenital cataracts, glaucoma, or malignant intraocular tumors (retinoblastoma). Our goal is to reduce the prevalence of severe ophthalmological diseases that lead to blindness or visual impairment in children throughout Ecuador.

Medical Brigades

Our program aims to carry out clinical-surgical care processes in areas of natural disasters, or regions where people have limited economic and no access to quality health services.
Up to date we have carried out 71 brigades in different regions of Ecuador.

Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic

A child born with a cleft lip and palate needs specialized medical care during all its stages of growth, that is, from 0 to at least 18 years of age.
For this reason, since 2017, our Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic cares for low-income children with the aim of not only accompanying them surgically throughout the process, but also helping them to adequately reintegrate into society.

Pacemaker Bank Program

In alliance with the Rotary Club and Fundacion Banco de Marcapasos, we operate children and adults who suffer from cardiac arrhythmia and require a pacemaker to ensure the proper functioning of their heart.
